Dooek climate-smart food wraps are cotton cloths impregnated with beeswax that are used to store food and keep it fresh for a long time. Because they are easy to use, plastic-free and reusable, they are the green alternative to plastic and aluminum foils. The cheese wrap is 30x40cm and perfect for storing a nice piece of cheese. The antibacterial function of beeswax allows the cheese to breathe, which means that it retains its taste and texture. With just the warmth of your hands, you can gently shape the cheese wrap around any type of cheese. You can easily clean the cheese wrap with cold or lukewarm tap water and possibly a drop of mild dish soap. Do not use hot water, as you will ruin the wrap. Let dooek dry for a while, fold it and put it away or better yet, use the dooek again.
Usage
Dooek can be used for everything you normally use plastic or aluminum foils for. It is easy to cover a bowl, store vegetables, fruits, cheese or sandwiches with the right size wrap.. You can easily clean the wrap with cold or lukewarm tap water and possibly a drop of mild dish soap. Do not use hot water, as this will destroy the wrap. Let dooek airdry for a while, fold it and put it away or better yet, use dooek again.
Tip:
Bring your cheese wrap back to your favorite cheese shop after use and reuse it to pack your new purchase. Good for the environment!
