Tilsiter
The flavor of Tilsiter cheese takes you to the beautiful Swiss Alps. The production process of this cheese starts with the cows. In early summer, the cows are taken to the peaks of the Alps. Here they graze all summer long while they enjoy the tasty grass. Eating this fresh grass produces a delicious raw cow's milk, which can be used to make Tilsiter cheese.
Tilsiter cheese is made after a recipe created by Otto Wartmann. This cheesemaker developed its own recipe, using completely new quality standards. For example, the Tilsiter cheese is matured under supervision. Otto Wartmann thought it was important that the cheese is treated with love during the production process which reflects on the taste. The cheese has a wonderfully soft structure and is packed with flavor! Tilsiter cheese has been around since 1893 and yet Otto Wartmann's recipe has been perfectly preserved. To this day, the Tilsiter cheese is produced in the traditional way!
