The characteristic color and tradition
The warm, orange-red color of this cheddar is obtained by the addition of annatto, a 100% natural plant extract from the achiote tree. This is a centuries-old English tradition that not only gives the cheese a beautiful appearance on the cheese board, but also symbolizes quality cheddars.
Thanks to the artisanal production process and the use of microbial (vegetarian) rennet, this cheese is extremely versatile. Perfect for a colorful cheese board, to grate over nachos, or as a soft melting cheese on a luxury sandwich.
