Remeker Pril is a cheese with a unique story and an unparalleled taste. This cheese is made exclusively on the De Groote Voort farm in the Netherlands. A herd of purebred Jersey cows grazes here. Jersey milk is naturally much richer in fat, protein, and minerals than ordinary cow's milk. Because the milk is processed raw (unpasteurized), the cheese retains all its natural, rich aromas and the specific taste of the meadow.
What makes Remeker cheeses even more special is the natural rind. During ripening, the cheese is not given a plastic coating, but washed with pure milk fat (ghee) from their own Jersey cows. This creates a beautiful, natural rind that you can simply eat! The 'Pril' variant is the youngest member of the Remeker family. It has a wonderfully smooth, creamy texture with a full, buttery and slightly nutty flavor.
