The young matured Stompetoren is wonderfully soft and full of flavor. Smooth and mild in taste and texture, which results in the cheese melting on the tongue. The cheese owes this taste and structure to the unique ripening process. The Stompetoren cheese is in fact matured in a ripening warehouse called the Stompetoren until it has developed the optimum taste. Thanks to the humid climate, the cheese loses relatively little moisture. This keeps the young matured Stompetoren wonderfully soft and creamy.

The cheese is made in the province of North Holland, by the CONO cheese factory. This is a very sustainable cheese factory in the Netherlands, where cheeses are produced as energy-efficiently as possible. The cheese owes its name to the village of Stompetoren, where the cows graze and the cheese is produced. The ripening process takes place in the Stompetoren ripening warehouse, under the watchful eye of cheese makers.
