Gouda Wafers
The typical Goudse Wafers are something else the Netherlands is famous for, besides cheese. These cookies are called stroopwafels in Dutch and can be enjoyed internationally. Gouda Wafers consist of two thin wafers with a thin layer of caramel between them. They are perfect as a sweet treat alongside an afternoon coffee, or as a dessert after a meal. They are normally enjoyed cold, although they are also delicious when warmed up in the oven for a few minutes.
