Description Westmalle Trappist Cheese

Westmalle Trappist Cheese is a semi-hard, matured cheese carefully made by the monks of the abbey. Since 1860, they have used only thermised, non-pasteurized milk from their own Blaarkop cows, contributing to the cheese's unique flavor and texture. In spring, the cows graze on fresh pastures, giving the cheese a subtle change in color and taste compared to the winter months when they remain indoors.

This trappist cheese is very lightly salted (only 1% salt) and contains no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. The natural aging process and the use of 100% natural ingredients ensure a rich and full taste experience. Westmalle Trappist Cheese is a rare example of a true trappist cheese still produced within the abbey walls, adding to the product's authenticity and quality.

Ingredients:
Fat 50+, thermised MILK, salt, rennet, preservative: lysozyme from EGG

A nice discover
Review by
I tried this cheese during my holidays in Belgium and I really appreciated it, that's why I ordered it and it was really as good as the one I tasted in Bruxelles: I was delighted! It has a buttery and delicate flavour, it pairs perfectly with a Trappist beer.
