This cheese is made from a special blend of creamy cow’s milk and full-flavoured, aromatic sheep’s milk. The combination results in a soft, rich cheese with a wonderfully creamy character and a subtle salty touch – a flavour that directly reflects the Wadden region and the salty sea breeze blowing over the meadows.
The milk for this cheese comes from cows and sheep that graze on the herb-rich grasslands of De Zeekraal, located between the dunes and the Wadden dike. This natural environment, together with the salty air, creates a unique taste experience. The organic farming and nature-inclusive land management contribute to the high quality of both the milk and the cheese.
